Even though her dad is often away, Emily always makes time for her family, and puts them above all else. Try to have family meals, and game nights.

Throughout the beginning, Emily struggles with admitting to her family, friends and herself that she is lesbian. However, once she does she feels free, and becomes an influence to others. Always be yourself, and dont be afraid to do so.

While at Rosewood High, Emily worked at the Brew, in order to earn extra money. Then, while at college, she worked to pay for the tuition fees. She also worked at the Radley. Work hard for what you want and don't expect everything from your parents.
